Network Administrator

We are offering an exciting opportunity in the Wholesale Distribution industry, specifically for a Network Administrator. As a Network Administrator, you'll be involved in a variety of tasks, including network and security management, database administration, and other duties involving IT asset management and compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Overseeing network security, including the development and maintenance of network configurations.
• Handling network performance issues and ensuring accessibility for users.
• Implementing network security controls as needed.
• Managing site-to-site VPNs as part of the network and security tasks.
• Installation, configuration, and maintenance of DBMS such as MySQL, SQL Server, Progress, and Oracle.
• Conducting regular database backups, recovery, and maintenance to ensure data integrity.
• Monitoring database performance and optimizing queries to enhance efficiency.
• Implementing and overseeing database security measures.
• Troubleshooting any database-related issues and providing technical support for users.
• Participating in Help Desk Operations, including supervision, scheduling, and remediation actions.
• Managing IT assets, including hardware, software, and equipment.
• Ensuring compliance with software licensing, policies, and procedures.
• Keeping up with emerging products, services, and protocols to assess potential installation and/or impact.
• Must possess a deep understanding of Firewall Technologies.
• Proficiency in Fortinet Firewalls is required.
• Demonstrable expertise in using FortiManager is expected.
• Must have practical knowledge and experience with FortiAnalyzer.
• Familiarity with FortiGate is a necessary skill for this position.
• Certification in Cisco CCNA is highly desirable.
• Cisco CCNP qualification will be a significant advantage.
