Accounting Manager - Addison

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounting Manager in Addison, Texas. The role is based in an office setting with some flexibility to work from home. The job involves managing accounting functions, supervising staff, and working within the software and technology industry.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise a team of accounting staff, including AR and AP clerks.
• Take ownership of the full monthly end close and reporting processes.
• Review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and income statements.
• Prepare and assist with financial statements.
• Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Understand and apply SOX documentation within public companies.
• Utilize ERP software such as NetSuite and Excel for tasks involving pivot tables and vlookups.
• Work in a dynamic setting where adaptability and flexibility are required.
• Demonstrate leadership and team collaboration skills.
• Be hands-on and willing to delve into the details rather than just overseeing tasks. • Proven experience as an Accounting Manager for a minimum of 5 years
• Proficiency in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning software
• Solid understanding and experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Experience in auditing is necessary
• Proficiency in NetSuite and Adaptive Insights software
• Strong ability to document processes
• Experience in handling monthly close processes
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field
• Strong organizational and leadership skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Hands-on experience with accounting software like FreshBooks and QuickBooks
• Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• CPA certification is a plus.
