LEGOLAND NY Seasonal Rides Operator

Position Overview: LEGOLAND NY is seeking responsible and energetic individuals to join our team as Seasonal Rides Operators. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe operation of amusement rides and attractions during our holiday seasonal period.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fun and dynamic environment, ensuring that all guests have a memorable and safe experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ride Operation: Safely operate and control amusement rides according to established procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Guest Interaction: Greet guests, assist them in boarding and exiting rides, and ensure they are secure before operation.
  • Safety Monitoring: Vigilantly monitor rides during operation to ensure the safety and well-being of all guests. Address any issues or concerns promptly.
  • Safety Checks: Perform routine safety checks on rides before and after operation to ensure they are functioning correctly.
  • Crowd Management: Manage lines efficiently, provide clear instructions to guests and maintain order in waiting areas.
  • Emergency Procedures: Be prepared to respond to ride malfunctions, emergencies, or other unexpected situations in accordance with training and safety protocols.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Keep the ride area clean and organized, reporting any maintenance needs or hazards to supervisors.
  • Customer Service: Provide friendly and helpful service to all guests, answering questions and enhancing their overall experience.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to ensure smooth ride operations and guest satisfaction.
  • Adherence to Policies: Follow all company policies, including those related to safety, uniform, and code of conduct.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
  • Previous experience in a similar role or in customer service is a plus.
  • Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks, including bending, lifting, and climbing.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
