Legal Assistant

We are seeking a Legal Assistant to join our team based in Los Angeles, California. The role entails supporting our legal team in the processing of civil litigation and Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases. You will be engaged in various tasks such as drafting, editing, filing, and serving pleadings in state and federal courts, including electronic court filings.

Responsibilities:

• Support senior attorneys and paralegals in civil litigation and Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases
• Handle the drafting, editing, filing, and serving of pleadings in state and federal courts
• Engage in electronic court filings and navigate court websites to obtain online dockets, local rules, and judge’s local rules
• Assist with the preparation of hearing notebooks and trial preparation
• Maintain accurate records of customer credit applications
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action as needed
• Manage relationships with professionals and support staff to maintain a positive work environment
• Prioritize daily workflow to ensure timely, high-quality performance
• Streamline daily operations to maximize productivity and efficiency
• Oversee the research, development, and implementation of the firm’s social impact program • Proficiency in Court Filing and Court Filings
• Experience with Table of Authorities (TOA) is preferred
• Knowledge in Civil Litigation and Commercial Litigation is a must
• Familiarity with Tables of Contents (TOC) in legal documentation
• Prior experience as a Legal Assistant
• Ability to handle Complex Litigation
• Civil Litigation Experience would be beneficial
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• A strong ethical standard and a commitment to confidentiality
• Demonstrable ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
