CTG's premier client has a contract assignment for a Laboratory Technician / Quality Control Specialist.

Description:
In this role, you will report directly to the Quality Site Lead and indirectly to the Laboratory Technician to ensure Quality Control laboratory testing, incoming Quality Control raw material inspection, and document control support duties are completed to support the quality goals and metrics of the manufacturing plant.

You will directly support the growth of a Fortune 500 subsidiary responsible for manufacturing serum and media products for life science and pharmaceutical applications. Compliance with in-house and/or external specifications, including cGMPs, 21 CFR 820, ISO 13485:2016, and Quality System Procedures, is required.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Perform in-process and finished product testing, both in-house and through contract testing laboratories (e.g., endotoxin testing, Hemoglobin, water quality testing, and other laboratory test protocols).
  • Track and trend data related to products or systems such as facility water or cleanroom air quality.
  • Conduct incoming QC inspection and release of raw materials upon receipt.
  • Apply aseptic technique and operate inside Class 1,000 and Class 100 cleanroom areas.
  • Maintain the product sample retention program.
  • Manage critical dates of quality department deliverables to ensure on-time closure (e.g., release turnaround time, OOS investigations, nonconformances, CAPAs, etc.).
  • Oversee controlled records management, including document control logging, scanning, and filing (e.g., calibration records, water testing, raw material CoAs) in a timely and efficient manner for regulatory and customer audits.
  • Review and revise procedures, specifications, and forms as needed.

Required Education:

  • 4-year Biology or Chemistry degree (Bachelor's degree minimum required)

Required Years and Area of Experience:

  • 1-3 years of experience in Manufacturing, Engineering, and/or Quality, specifically in a laboratory setting.

Required Skills:

  • Ability to develop, update, and train on SOPs.
  • Familiarity with ISO standards and Quality Management Systems (QMS).
  • Strong organizational skills and time management abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to follow detailed directions.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience in a medical, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology environment preferred.
  • Previous cell culture or microbiology laboratory experience preferred.
  • Experience with SAP and/or PeopleSoft preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $27.00 to $27.50. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.

In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
