Servicing Financial Advisor

We are seeking an experienced Financial Advisor to manage and service established client relationships at a fast paced and growing Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) firm. As the servicing advisor, you will independently lead relationships and offer personalized financial guidance and solutions, building long-term relationships based on trust and expertise.
The role requires a proactive, independent approach to managing client portfolios, cultivating new business opportunities, and maintaining strong client connections over time. Your ability to understand client goals and provide tailored, strategic financial advice will be key to success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary advisor for an established book of clients, fostering long-term relationships built on trust, transparency, and financial expertise.
- Comprehensive Financial Planning: Conduct thorough interviews with clients to understand their financial status, including income, expenses, tax considerations, and risk tolerance, and create personalized financial plans to meet their short-term and long-term goals.
- Advisory Services: Offer strategic financial advice related to investments, debt management, tax planning, cash flow management, insurance, and retirement planning.
- Investment Solutions: Recommend suitable investment products based on clients’ goals, risk profiles, and financial resources, ensuring alignment with their personal objectives.
- Ongoing Portfolio Management: Regularly review client portfolios and provide recommendations for adjustments, taking into account life changes and evolving financial objectives.
- Client Retention and Growth: Continuously build and enhance relationships with clients to ensure long-term loyalty. Proactively communicate to ensure clients remain well-informed about their financial strategy and the available investment products.
- Practice Development: Drive personal and professional growth by identifying new opportunities within your existing client base, while pursuing new business opportunities through referrals, networking, and proactive outreach.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior advisors and support staff, contributing to their development and fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Market Awareness: Stay informed on current financial trends, market conditions, and legislative changes, incorporating relevant insights into client advisory services.
- Compliance & Documentation: Ensure adherence to industry regulations, maintain proper documentation, and follow compliance guidelines to mitigate risks and ensure high-quality service delivery.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Lead and participate in client marketing events to drive engagement and enhance the firm’s visibility.
- Resolve client inquiries, concerns, or complaints, ensuring prompt and effective solutions.
- Represent the firm positively with clients, investors, and business partners.
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide seamless service delivery and support to clients.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) required.
- Certified Financial Planner (CFP) or other relevant professional designations
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Financial Advisor, with a proven track record of managing and growing client relationships.
- Experience managing assets under management (AUM) of $10 million or more.
- Exceptional communication and relationship management skills, both on the phone and in person.
- In-depth knowledge of financial planning strategies, investment products, and financial markets.
- Strong understanding of regulations governing the financial advisory industry.
- Critical thinking and analytical skills to assess client needs and develop tailored strategies.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain organization while providing exceptional client service.
- Proficiency in financial planning software and Microsoft Office/Excel. Comfortable with new technology and systems.
- A high level of professionalism, integrity, and work ethic.
- Ability to actively listen, understand, and translate clients’ financial goals into actionable strategies.
- Strong team player with interpersonal skills, able to collaborate across departments and enhance client service delivery.
