Financial Analyst

We are in search of a Financial Analyst in San Antonio, Texas. This role involves the thorough examination of our company's financial status by analyzing and interpreting financial data. The Financial Analyst will work closely with various teams within the company including operations, commercial, and executive teams to enhance business processes and profitability.
Responsibilities include:
- Acting as a Finance and Operational business partner, working closely with Operational management to provide guidance and recommendations to improve business processes and profitability.
- Producing accurate forecasts involving revenue, costs, margin and operating expenses by working closely with executives, general managers, operations, and commercial teams.
- Reviewing results against plans/forecasts to ensure variations and key drivers are thoroughly explained along with actions taken.
- Assisting in the reduction of working capital by delving into inventory, A/R, A/P, projects, etc., and aiding in cost saving activities.
- Collaborating with corporate and business teams to develop best practices, establish policies, and outline processes/procedures.
- Resolving inquiries in a timely and accurate manner by collaborating with the requestor to clarify the needs, uses, and deliverables.
- Providing thorough, clear, and concise work products and developing repeatable analyses for business decision making.
- Assisting in standardizing processes and reports throughout the organization including corporate and business units.
- Conducting necessary meetings to meet requirements, discuss options, review results, and encourage team involvement.
- Reviewing, analyzing, recommending, implementing, and evaluating various strategic/optimization projects.
- Establishing, monitoring, and improving commercial and operational metrics.
- Evaluating effectiveness of projects, pricing strategies, etc., and making recommendations for improvements.
- Finance Degree from an accredited university is required
- Proven experience as a Financial Analyst for a minimum of 7 years
- Demonstrated ability to manage Capital Expenditure (CapEx)
- Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and ERP Solutions
- Knowledge of Great Plains (GPAC) is desirable
- Familiarity with the 'About Time' software
- Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions
- Experience with Budget Processes
- Proven ability to perform Expense Reporting
- Degree in Finance or related field is required
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
- Attention to detail and problem-solving capacity
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of financial regulations and legislation.
