Description:

• We are looking for a qualified Speech Language Pathologist to join our school-based therapy team. This full-time position offers 37.5 hours per week, serving a diverse caseload of students from kindergarten through 12th grade. Candidates must hold a valid South Carolina SLP license.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of students’ speech and language abilities to identify communication disorders and establish therapy goals.
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on assessment results to address the specific needs of each student.
• Work closely with teachers, special education staff, and parents to support student progress and communicate treatment goals effectively.
• Regularly assess and document student progress, making adjustments to therapy plans as needed to achieve desired outcomes.
• Provide strategies and support to teachers and parents to promote communication development in the classroom and at home.
• Stay current with best practices in speech-language pathology and participate in relevant training and workshops.

Certification:

• Valid South Carolina Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is preferred but may not be mandatory based on specific school requirements.
• Basic Life Support AHA

Background Check:

• Completion of a background check and clearance to work with children is mandatory.

Professional Development:

• Ongoing training in special education practices, communication disorders, and related fields may be beneficial.
