Accounts Payable Specialist

Construction company seeking an Accounts Payable and Payroll Specialist to manage financial records and process transactions.

Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable:

• Review and post bills to the general ledger.
• Analyze invoices and assign correct charges.
• Manage due dates for vendor bills, verify federal ID numbers, and resolve payment discrepancies.
• Reconcile vendor statements with the open A/P register.
• Handle recurring monthly bills and company’s credit card program.

• Manage data in the payroll system: commissions, bonuses, leave pay, deductions, etc.
• Calculate prevailing wage for jobs and handle payroll taxes and employee benefits.
• Address company-wide payroll-related issues.
• Prepare periodic payroll reports.
• Knowledge of QuickBooks and/or Sage is a plus.
• 2+ years of experience in A/P and Payroll.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and tax regulations.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
