Staff Accountant

This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the financial transactions and reporting within the company
• Process invoices and manage tax payments
• Ensure all financial operations comply with legal standards
• Work with the accounting team to analyze financial reports
• Manage accounts payable and receivable
• Oversee the processing of customer credit applications
• Maintain accurate customer credit records
• Resolve customer inquiries regarding their accounts
• Implement basic office skills to maintain organizational efficiency
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary.
• Possession of a bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
• Proven experience as a Staff Accountant or similar role
• Proficiency in accounting software, such as QuickBooks or Sage
• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Excellent knowledge of tax and regulatory requirements related to accounting
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for financial analysis and reporting
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
