- Executes maintenance tasks from written procedures or instructions.
- Executes work Instructions for Preventative Maintenance for new or existing equipment utilizing manufacturer's data, experience or assessments.
- Perform preventive maintenance procedures on a variety of specialized pharmaceutical manufacturing and general mechanical equipment and utilities.
- Provides repair, fabrication, and general labor services throughout all areas.
- Provides training within specific skill set(s), to staff for the purpose of ensuring a broad base of knowledge within the group.
- Documents all work performed per the appropriate documentation system.
- Conducts investigations for quality systems as assigned.
- May provide on-the-job training and guidance to junior staff.
- Must be able to work in a controlled environment, including wearing gowning, personal protective equipment (safety shoes, hearing protection, and safety glasses)
- Must be able to read, speak and write English at a sufficient level to communicate technical and business information effectively
- Ability to acquire skills in the care and use of tools, materials and equipment used in maintenance and repair
- Analyze mechanical and operational problems on assigned equipment, plans for and takes corrective action.
- Make necessary corrections and running adjustments to maintain maximum production and quality.
- Ability to read and work from prints and schematics.
- Overtime is required during shutdowns, emergency situations or periods of heavy workloads. This includes staying after shift hours, weekends and also being on call.
