Great firm in Palm Beach is looking for a Payroll & Benefits Specialist to join their team. This role is 4 days in office, 1 day work from home. $80k-$110k depending on experience.
Looking for someone with strong experience in payroll & benefits including processing payroll, tax, filings, workers comp, and tracking various leaves of absences. This position will report to the Director of HR.
Job Description
Payroll Administration:
- Manage bi-weekly payroll processing for over 150 employees using ADP Workforce Now, including handling new hires, employee updates, payroll deductions, and special payrolls.
- Prepare and submit bi-weekly funding requests for payroll accounts.
- Process and submit bi-weekly 401(k) contributions and Health Savings Account (HSA) contributions to plan administrators.
- Provide assistance to property managers and employees with ADP Time and Attendance, including timecard adjustments and vacation requests.
- Coordinate state withholding and unemployment registrations with ADP as needed.
Benefits Administration:
- Administer a range of employee and voluntary benefit plans, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, AD&D, HSA, FSA, and 401(k).
- Handle quarterly and annual reporting for employee benefits, such as ACA, 401(k), workers' compensation, and unemployment.
- Assist employees with workers' compensation claims, as well as short- and long-term disability claims.
- Support the annual benefits review, providing employee census information and participating in the annual cost review.
- Coordinate the open enrollment process and communicate benefit changes to employees.
- Manage quarterly 401(k) plan enrollments and changes for eligible employees.
- Oversee the coordination of the annual 401(k) audit, working closely with external auditors and preparing necessary documentation and financial statements.
Human Resources:
- Oversee the full cycle of employee onboarding and offboarding within ADP Workforce Now, including preparing offer letters, conducting background checks, reference checks, and handling all related documentation.
- Ensure accurate maintenance of employee records, including personnel files, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
- Collaborate with the IT Department to coordinate new hire technology setup and handle the return of equipment during the offboarding process, including managing physical access requirements with IT/Facilities.
- Handle employment verifications as required.
- Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations, including maintaining up-to-date reporting, forms, and workplace posters.

The Successful Applicant- Bachelors degree in Human Resources or related field
- Professional experience and/or other training/certification may be substituted for the education.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in HR or payroll/benefits administration.
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of employee benefits and payroll processing.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Experience with immigration/foreign Visa categories and applications would be highly desirable
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- Ability to travel domestically as needed
