Job Title: Patient Care Associate (PCA) - Behavioral Health
Duties:
- Collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide care to behavioral health inpatients.
- Support patient admissions by assisting with orientation, room setup, and securing valuables.
- Perform direct care duties such as vital sign monitoring, EKGs, venipuncture, personal hygiene, and specimen collection.
- Facilitate therapeutic interventions and co-lead group activities for patients.
- Assist in discharge planning, including coordinating transportation and maintaining family communication.
- Intervene during aggressive incidents, including physical restraints when necessary.
- Ensure infection control practices are followed.
- Provide supportive counseling to patients and families within an assigned caseload.
Skills Required:
- Experience in behavioral health, law enforcement, or counseling.
- Proficiency in venipuncture, EKG, and infection control practices.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent with 2 years of experience in behavioral health, nursing, or a related field, OR an Associate’s degree in a related discipline.
- BLS certification required.
Pay Range:
- Weekly: $1,200 - $1,400
