Cyber Security Engineer

We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Cyber Security Engineer in Woodbridge, New Jersey. This role is pivotal in protecting the organization's systems, networks, and data from cyber threats. The Cyber Security Engineer will ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets by designing, implementing, and maintaining security measures.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain security protocols, systems, and infrastructure to mitigate cyber threats
• Use SIEM tools to monitor systems for suspicious activities and security breaches
• Respond to security incidents and conduct forensic investigations when necessary
• Regularly conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to identify potential risks
• Apply necessary patches and updates to address identified vulnerabilities
• Develop, enforce, and maintain security policies, procedures, and guidelines
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulatory frameworks
• Implement security training and awareness programs for employees
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure security best practices are integrated into projects
• Work closely with IT and development teams to incorporate security in system design and development
• Prepare and present reports on security incidents, risks, and mitigation efforts for management review. • Proficient in Checkpoint and Cisco ASA
• Strong knowledge of Cisco Technologies
• Experience with Cloud Technologies is a must
• Familiarity with Firewall Technologies
• Ability to perform AB Testing effectively
• Experience in Auditing, with a focus on security aspects
• Expertise in AWS Technologies
• Proficiency in Configuration Management
• Solid understanding and experience in Cyber Security
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
