Sr. Tax Accountant

The position is within the banking industry, though we are open to experience from other sectors as well.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately and efficiently process monthly closing and tax entries.
• Maintain and adjust book to tax difference records.
• Prepare corporate tax calculation worksheets for external tax preparers.
• Ensure compliance with federal tax return regulations. Experience with Florida tax laws would be beneficial but is not a requirement.
• Handle Deferred Tax Asset (DTA) calculations.
• Strong experience in preparing provision calculation
• Utilize strong Excel skills for various tasks and responsibilities.
• Operate systems including FIS & PeopleSoft.
• Perform audit duties as necessary.
• Oversee cash activity and capital management.
• Ensure compliance with accounting functions and standards.
• Proficiency in using Bloomberg Terminal is required.
• Familiarity with various business systems is essential.
• Experience in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) is necessary.
• Expertise in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is a must.
• Ability to use financial software effectively is required.
• Comprehensive knowledge of various accounting functions is essential.
• Proven experience in auditing is necessary.
• Proficiency in capital management is a must.
• Experience in handling cash activity is required.
• Strong compliance skills and knowledge of relevant regulations are essential.
