Position Overview:

The Merchandiser and Sales Director will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive sales and marketing strategy to drive revenue growth across wholesale, retail, and digital channels. You will leverage industry connections, market insights, and leadership expertise to grow our business and increase brand visibility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue and growth targets for wholesale and retail channels.
  • Drive new business development, identifying and securing new wholesale accounts and growing existing relationships with department stores, boutiques, and specialty retailers.
  • Oversee and manage sales forecasting, budgeting, and reporting, providing regular updates to the executive team.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create impactful promotional strategies and ensure brand consistency across all channels.
  • Collaborate closely with the design and product development teams, utilising market trend surveillance and forecasting to guide the development of collections that align with current and future market demand, ensuring they meet both client expectations and competitive standards.
  • Represent the brands at major trade shows, including Coterie, Project, Magic, and other relevant events.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and consumer insights to identify growth opportunities and inform product development.
  • Maintain strong relationships with buyers, retailers, and industry influencers to ensure brand presence and market positioning.
  • Negotiate terms and close sales deals with key accounts.
  • Stay updated on fashion and denim trends to ensure the brand’s offerings remain competitive and innovative.
  • Create and implement a strategy to onboard and manage regional showrooms.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in Business, Fashion Merchandising, or related field (preferred).
  • 5+ years of sales experience in the fashion industry, with a focus on denim.
  • Proven track record of driving sales growth and achieving revenue targets.
  • Established network of relationships with key buyers, retailers, and distributors in the denim/fashion industry.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proven experience working with omni-channel e-commerce platforms and execution of digital sales strategies.
  • Willingness and ability to travel for meetings, trade shows, and events.
  • Proven experience working with regional showrooms and independent sales reps.
