Assistant Controller

We are currently seeking an Assistant Controller to join our team in the Aerospace Manufacturing industry, based in Torrance, California. This role is pivotal in maintaining the financial health and transparency of our operations, with a focus on the accurate processing and record keeping of our financial data.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications.
• Maintain and manage precise records of customer credit.
• Promptly resolve customer inquiries and issues related to finance.
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate actions when necessary.
• Utilize knowledge of Accounting Software Systems and ADP - Financial Services.
• Implement and manage Concur and Crystal Reports for financial tracking and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with DCAA regulations in all financial procedures.
• Oversee the functioning of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Conduct regular auditing to ensure financial transparency and compliance.
• Manage billing functions and ensure accuracy in invoicing.
• Utilize knowledge of Cost Accounting and Manufacturing Cost Accounting for financial planning and analysis.
• Implement Standard Cost Accounting methods for financial efficiency. • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role or in the field of accounting or finance
• Proficient in Accounting Software Systems
• Familiar with ADP - Financial Services
• Experience with Concur is required
• Ability to generate and interpret Crystal Reports
• Knowledge of DCAA regulations and guidelines
• Proficiency in executing Accounting Functions
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Expertise in Auditing
• Familiarity with Billing Functions
• Strong understanding of Cost Accounting
• Experience in Manufacturing Cost Accounting
• Knowledge of Standard Cost Accounting
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is preferred
• detail oriented certification such as CPA or CMA is a plus.
