In-House Litigation Paralegal
A growing legal department with a logistics company in Irvine is seeking an in-house litigation paralegal.
RHL placed a junior paralegal with this team last year who is thriving!
This litigation paralegal will be responsible for in-house litigation, for defense-side general liability and employment law cases
Responsibilities of Role:
o Communicate with outside counsel [professionally]
o Legal holds – initiating in CasePoint (can train on)
o Subpoenas – responding to them (downloading and sending off documents)
o eDiscovery – they have a platform, so not a big focus, but would be a nice-to-have
o Investigations – asking high level questions, obtaining documents from accidents / internal teams
o No drafting legal documents- Software: Bright Flag Workspaces (legal spend tracker, outside counsel submits invoices / billing) and Case Point (case management, legal holds, eDiscovery), plus MS Office Suite.
Pay is contingent upon experience with the duties above.
Details of Role:
- Hours: Start time at 9am at the latest but as early at 7:30am.
- Profile that would be a fit:
o Someone who takes ownership of projects, who wants to take charge on what they are working on.
o Someone who proactively thinks ahead to next steps, and know the why behind what they are doing.
o Someone who is willing to develop new systems and is okay with change. The mentality should be, “we tried this process and it didn’t work, let’s try something else!”
o Someone with the autonomy and honesty to work remotely

- Ability to commute to Irvine (near SNA) daily, at least to start
- Ability to start the first week of March!
