We are offering an opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Indianapolis, Indiana. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of invoice processing, vendor communication, record keeping, expense reconciliation, and general ledger reconciliation and reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Receive, review, and verify invoices for accuracy and appropriate documentation.
• Match invoices to purchase orders or other supporting documents and enter them into the accounting system.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure payments are made in accordance with company policies and payment terms.
• Monitor accounts to ensure timely payment and address any discrepancies.
• Maintain relationships with vendors, responding to inquiries, and resolving discrepancies.
• Reconcile vendor statements and correct any billing or payment issues.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all payable transactions.
• Ensure proper documentation and filing for audits and future reference.
• Review and reconcile company credit card statements with receipts, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciling accounts payable records with the general ledger.
• Generate reports related to accounts payable as needed by leadership.
• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)
• Familiarity with Coding Invoices
• Strong Data Entry skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
