RN Charge Nurse

Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the director, the RN charge nurse utilizes the nursing process, facilitates patient care making nursing assessments and diagnosis, formulates care plans based on the diagnosis and implements and evaluates the plan of care.
Qualifications:
Education: - Diploma/Associates Degree
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
- Florida Registered Nurse License
- BLS
- ACLS
- PALS
- NIH
Special Skills/Qualifications/Additional Training/Experience Required:
- Leadership Skills
- Should attend hospital training programs including: New Manager/Supervisor orientation and Leadership Development courses - Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
- A minimum of 2 years ED experience, or a minimum of 1 full year in the ED with 1 full year in another hospital care area.
- Experience in the ED should be current, or within 1 year.
- Acceptable experience, in lieu of ED experience: –Any critical care nursing or Paramedic experience on a 1:1 basis
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
