Summary:
Research Associate LVL 4 provides scientific support for planning and execution of laboratory procedures, testing, research activities, analysis, and investigations. Understands how to follow and develop standard operating procedures and guidelines to conduct research, analysis, and investigation projects.Provides support during preparation of protocol, test plans, and project design.
Responsibilities:
Essential Job Functions:
- Plan, execute, and analyze laboratory tests and research activities in compliance with established SOPs and protocols
- Develop and refine standard operating procedures and guidelines for research and analysis projects
- Assist in the design and preparation of research protocols, test plans, and project methodologies
- Conduct investigations and provide detailed scientific analysis and reports based on research findings
- Ensure proper documentation, reporting, and quality control measures throughout the research process
- Support cross-functional research teams and collaborate with other departments to ensure project alignment
- Troubleshoot laboratory procedures, methods, and equipment as needed
- Assist in the training and mentorship of junior staff and research team members
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, scientific advances, and best practices related to the research field
Qualifications:
Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
- Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures that support biomedical solutions
- keen understanding of scientific methodology and equipment
- Understand collection of data, handling, protection, and analysis
- Strong understanding of standard laboratory procedures, protocols, and analytical methods.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in related field (engineering, chemistry, biology)
- Minimum 4-6 years of laboratory research experience or equivalent scientific experience
- Able to obtain a Secret Clearance
- Located near or able to relocate to the Fort Novosel, AL area
Preferred Qualifications:
- +7 years related experience
- Masters degree in related field (engineering, chemistry, biology)
