Job Summary
This role is responsible for supporting HR technology systems to ensure data integrity, reporting accuracy, and seamless functionality. This role is the first point of contact for technical support cases regarding Recruiting, Onboarding, Performance & Goals, Internal employee changes and reviewing HR reporting requirements.The HRIS Specialist supports and educates internal and external system users and implements creative training and support solutions to increase user functionality, satisfaction, and ease of use. This role involves configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting HR systems, including HRIS platforms, to meet the evolving needs of the organization.
Ensures data accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with legal regulations. This job requires strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills, and proficiency in HRIS software applications.
Responsibilities- HRIS Support: Assist in maintaining accurate employee records, including personal information, job details, compensation, benefits, and performance, within the HRIS system. Ensure confidentiality and accuracy in all transactions.
- End User Assistance: Accountable for all tier 1 support for HRIS Systems, including researching and resolving Help Desk tickets, escalating complex issues with experienced HRIS team members, troubleshooting and resolving common system issues, working closely with HR partners and software vendors as needed.
- System Enhancements: Assist in the configuration, testing, and implementation of system enhancements, updates, and integrations.
- HR Compliance & Audits: Conduct regular data audits to ensure data accuracy and compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Data Entry & Processing: Process employee escalation requests related to employee security roles and process mass updates with imports to our HR systems.
- Administer user permissions and system access to protect confidential HR information.
- Assist with HRIS projects and system improvement.
Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in working with HR systems, including HRIS, HCM, payroll, and benefits administration.
- Experience in HR system support and administration.
- Experience supporting internal HR customers and enhancing the user experience.
- Proficiency in HR reporting tools such as IBM Cognos and Power BI reporting, is preferred.
- Developing technical skills, with knowledge of HR systems administration and configuration.
- Some proficiency in HRIS platforms (e.g., UKG,iCIMS, Workday) and data reporting tools.
- Excellent analytical skills, keen eye for detail, and data accuracy.
- Understanding of HR processes, data integrity, and compliance requirements.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
