Accounts Payable Specialist - San Francisco

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in the construction industry, located in San Francisco, California. In this role, you will be joining a team of accountants, where you will primarily be responsible for handling the full-cycle accounts payable functions and other accounting duties.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process 50-100 invoices weekly related to our trucking business
• Ensure the efficient handling of full-cycle Accounts Payable tasks
• Carry out coding, matching, and processing of purchase orders
• Update credit card information as needed
• Monitor and manage customer accounts, taking appropriate action when required
• Utilize accounting software, such as NetSuite or Acumatica, for various tasks
• Handle day-to-day accounting duties while working closely with the accounting manager and reporting to the controller and CFO
• Provide resolution for customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner
• Maintain accurate customer credit records and process customer credit applications effectively
• Ensure compliance with the company's accounting systems and processes. • Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role or similar
• Proficiency in accounting functions is required
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Accounts Payable (AP) procedures
• Experience with coding invoices is necessary
• Proficiency in using NetSuite financial software is preferred
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred but not required
• Must have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
