Seeking a Electrical Design Specialist inSterling Heights, MI
to performs design and drafting of both electrical and mechanical aspects of electrical/electronic equipment. Designs wiring harness routing integration using schematic diagrams as supplied in rough form by electrical engineering. Performs overall line replaceable unit (LRU) chassis and housing design/drafting, including overall system design integration.Produces CAD models and drawings of electrical harness assemblies, electro-mechanical components, assemblies, and installation drawings. Must be able to work within the data management System.

Associate Degree in a relevant technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; plus a minimum of 4- 9 year's experience; or relevant Bachelor's degree orequivalent plus an additional 2-5 years experience
Working knowledge of electrical engineering and electro-mechanical engineering tools is highly desired.
Must have 5 years experience with Creo DesignExperience working with electrical/electronic systems.
Experience with design, routing, and drawings of wiring harnesses assemblies.
Experience designing wiring harnesses/cable assemblies, routing of wiring harnesses/cable assemblies and developing wiring harness/cable assembly drawings
Understanding of model and drawing generation utilizing Creo and Creo Pro-Cable. Understanding of AMSE Y14.100 and ASME Y14.5 standards and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD and T).
The Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment for the position requires highly cooperative team working skills, as well as very good oral and written communication skills.
Responsibilities: Performs design and drafting of both electrical and mechanical aspects of electrical/electronic equipment
Designs wiring harnesses and performs layout drawing and checking of schematic diagramsMakes wiring diagrams from schematic diagrams and vice versa
Performs overall line replaceable unit (LRU) chassis and housing design/drafting, including overall system packaging
Selects LRU/wiring harness components such as electrical connectors, accessories, wire, shielding, shield terminators, terminal lugs, etc.Produces schematic diagrams and/or CAD drawings for submission to customers, plant operations, or outside vendors to produce specified LRUs/wiring harnesses and cable assemblies
Output must be able to be entered directly into data management configuration control
