Candidate Profile:
- JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record(link removed)>
- LL.M. in Taxation is required(link removed)>
- Active Bar Admission in Florida.
- Strong candidates from major markets that are seeking to relocate to Tampa will be considered(link removed)>
- 24 years of substantive experience in tax law(link removed)>
- Exposure to complex business transactions, securities offerings, corporate finance, and joint ventures is a plus(link removed)>
- Large law firm experience highly preferred(link removed)>
- Strong legal writing, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a high-performing team in a client-service-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise clients on federal and state tax implications of business transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, and joint ventures.
- Assist with tax planning, compliance, and structuring strategies for corporations, partnerships, and private equity clients.
- Draft and review transactional tax-related documents, including partnership agreements and operating agreements(link removed)>
- Conduct legal research on tax regulations and provide strategic recommendations to clients.
