Payroll Specialist

We are seeking a dynamic and diligent Payroll Specialist to join client's HR team. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing payroll, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring employees are compensated accurately and on-time.
They will also collaborate with other departments to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Input, verify, prepare, and process payroll data accurately and on time.
- Handle benefits information and payroll deductions.
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and irregularities.
- Prepare and submit reports with payroll information to the supervisor.
- Coordinate with HR and Accounting departments to ensure proper flow and maintenance of employee data.
- Keep abreast with current payroll tax requirements and relevant laws associated with the processing of employee wage data.
- Ensure the confidentiality and security of payroll records and information.
- Stay updated with changes in tax laws that affect payroll processing.
- Respond to employee inquiries and requests regarding payroll matters.
- Proven experience as a payroll specialist or payroll clerk.
- Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and payroll best practices.
- Very good knowledge of legislation and regulations of the field.
- Proficient in MS Office and good knowledge of relevant software and databases.
- Trustworthy with an attention to confidentiality and integrity.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
