Jacksonville - Service Technician
Overview:
The Service Technician will be responsible for service calls to job sites and homes resolving issues using technical skills on Trim, Interior/Exterior Doors, Hardware, and other millwork products. Our Fort Myers Plant is looking to add some great Service Techs to their Team!
We provide building materials for the residential building market statewide with locations in Jacksonville, Sanford, Clermont, Melbourne, Winter Haven, Tampa, and Fort Myers. We are the largest independent turnkey supplier for lumber, truss, doors, and windows for general contractors, multifamily and single-family builders.

The following description details the duties. These duties include, but are not limited to the following functions.
Duties and Responsibilities
Door Specific:
- Perform scheduled Service per Service Ticket instructions.
- Obtain Homeowner or Superintendent signature on Service Ticket upon completion.
- Take pictures of Signed Service Ticket and send electronically back to Service Dept.
- During Service/warranty call, another issue is discovered, take a pic, notate issue on Service Ticket, and Submit to Coordinator.
- Using the Bistrack Mobile Delivery App deliver materials and take delivery pics.
- Upon returning to Warehouse, submit completed and signed service Tickets.
- Upon returning to the warehouse, for the next day, review tickets, pick and pull components, and load the truck.
- 5S truck at end of the day.
General:
- Working safely and report unsafe conditions.
- Complete Weekly Checklist of Service Van and Maintenance scheduling of that vehicle.
- Once trained, provide training to new Service Techs.
- Working with Service Schedulers to get field issues resolved timely.
- General housekeeping responsibilities after the job is complete, picking up trash and parts left over.
- Maintain the 5S standard of the truck including: materials, tools, cab, and storage areas.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.
- 1-3 years prior construction or technical experience.
- Some knowledge of Millwork construction supplies.
- Ability to think fast.
- Ability to manage time to get the job done within the time allotted.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Good math skills are a plus.
- Team Player.
- Clean driving record.
- Customer service experience.
- Ability to safely lift, up to 100 lbs.
- Job requires some extended hours, as needed, to accomplish job requirements.
- Job requires working in a construction site which includes load noises, high temperatures, and humidity.
- Job requires working in and around machinery/powered equipment and associated safety risks.
- Job requires interaction with all levels within the location and all their direct reports (as needed).
- Job requires interaction with customers to resolve issues.
- Job sometimes requires lifting, standing, walking, and sitting for long periods of time around a manufacturing and/or warehouse facility as well as on the construction job site.
