San Diego Theatres-a 501(c)(3) nonprofit arts organization that manages, markets, operates, and maintains the Civic Theatre in the heart of downtown and the historic Balboa Theatre in the Gaslamp Quarter. San Diego Theatres serves over 500,000 guests each year, delivering exceptional performing arts, educational experiences, and creating an accessible place for all people to enjoy the arts.San Diego Theatres strives to positively impact the community through effective stewardship of publicly-owned performing arts venues, and the advancement of facility improvements, a downtown theatre district, and strategic partnerships for the enrichment of the performing arts for the benefit of the region.
San Diego Theatres was established in 2003 by the San Diego Convention Center Corporation as a subsidiary non-profit corporation. San Diego Theatres is ethically driven, fiscally sound, and strategically focused, while fostering an environment that instills advocacy, awareness, and a regional participation in San Diego’s performing arts.
We are currently seeking Kitchen Helpers at the San Diego Theatres.
Responsibilities of a Kitchen Helper include, but are not limited to:
- Prepare ingredients for inclusion in daily menu offerings.
- Perform tasks outside of food preparation to support culinary operations.
- Comply with all established health, sanitation and safety procedures.
- Contribute to goal of 100% customer satisfaction through personal commitment to customer service.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 6 months experience in food preparation in a fast paced environment.
- Must be able to interact verbally and listen attentively to co-workers and supervisors.
- Ability to follow written and oral direction.
- Ability to work under pressure and independently.
Other requirements:
- Hours may be extended or irregular to include nights, weekends and holidays.
- Must be able to work in extremes of cold to heat.
- Must be able to exert well-paced mobility to maneuver quickly among different areas of the facility.
