Attorney/Lawyer

We are seeking an Attorney for a company in the Metro Detroit area. Great opportunity to be a part of a growing team!

Responsibilities:

• Experience handling PIP/Third-party litigation from inception to conclusion, including trials to verdict.
• Ability to take full responsibility for files
• Must be able to handle a full inventory of files
• Knowledge of local and state discovery rules, trial procedures, and applicable substantive law commensurate with level of experience
• Experience presenting and cross-examining lay and expert witnesses
• Experience directing support staff on clerical and administrative matters related to lawsuit handling
• Experience working in a paperless electronic environment
• Strong automation/technological skills for lawsuit handling and courtroom presentation
• Preferred qualification is the handling of automobile negligence defense matters
• Must have an active law license to practice in Michigan and a member in good standing with the State Bar of Michigan
• Minimum of one year experience in a relevant legal position
• Knowledge of No-fault insurance laws and regulations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Proficient in the use of legal research tools and software.
• Ability to maintain client confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.
