Biohazard Cleaner - Toronto
Key Responsibilities:
Biohazard Cleanup: Thoroughly clean and disinfect areas exposed to blood, bodily fluids, and other biological materials.
Handle and dispose of biohazardous waste safely.
Decontamination: Use specialized cleaning agents and equipment to sanitize contaminated spaces.
Ensure all biohazards are removed to restore the environment to a safe condition.
Site Restoration: Replace or remove contaminated materials like carpets, flooring, or furniture, if necessary.
Leave the site clean, odor-free, and ready for use.
Emergency Response: Respond promptly to cleanup requests, often outside regular working hours, including nights and weekends.
Work in a variety of challenging conditions, such as confined spaces or distressed environments.
Client Interaction: Communicate sensitively with clients during emotionally difficult situations.
Provide reassurance and explain the cleaning process clearly and professionally.
Skills and Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; specialized training in biohazard cleaning preferred.Physical stamina and the ability to handle heavy lifting and prolonged physical activity.
Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to cleaning tasks.
Emotional resilience and the ability to handle unpleasant or challenging environments.
Valid drivers license and flexibility to travel to various job sites.
Working Conditions:
