Job Description:
Great opportunity for a motivated and energetic Dental assistant II to join the team in an established, fast-paced pediatric dental practice. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with children, has an energetic upbeat personality and a positive outlook.Strong work ethic is a huge plus. You must hold a DA II/ Coronal polishing ceritficate to apply for this position and you must have your NC x-ray certificate.
Responsibilities:
As a dental assistant, you play an important role in our office and perform limited clinical duties under the direction of a dentist. Clinical duties may include equipment preparation and sterilization, preparing patients for treatment, assisting the dentist during treatment, and providing patients with instructions for oral healthcare procedures.May perform administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, billing, and coding information for insurance purposes.
Qualifications:
- Dental assistant certification where required
- Coronal polishing ceritficate required
- Experience with Eaglesoft a plus.
- X-ray certification required.
- Nitrous oxide certification preferred.
- Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, BLS and infection control training as required by law.
- Experience with relevant dental software.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
