Job Description:

The Certified Medication Aide (CMA) will provide essential care and medication administration. The CMA will work closely with nurses and healthcare providers to support residents’ daily medical needs while ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer prescribed medications to residents following facility policies and state regulations.
• Monitor residents for any medication side effects or adverse reactions and report concerns to nursing staff.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
• Take and document vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
• Maintain accurate records of medication administration and resident care.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members.
• Ensure compliance with infection control and safety procedures.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to residents.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Active CMA certification (state or nationally recognized).
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Assisted Living, Long Term Care, or Retirement Facilities.
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Ability to work assigned shifts (evening, night, or variable).
