Application Development Project Manager/Lead

We are in search of an Application Development Project Manager/Lead to join our team in Chicago, Illinois. The role involves managing IT projects, particularly focusing on application system upgrades. This is a contract position with the opportunity to manage ongoing projects in the health insurance industry, although health insurance experience is not mandatory.

Responsibilities:

• Lead IT Project Management initiatives, ensuring the successful delivery of projects on time and within budget
• Oversee application system upgrades, such as Oracle upgrades, and ensure their successful implementation
• Engage in effective communication with all stakeholders
• Utilize strong interpersonal skills to foster a positive working environment
• Integrate Cloud Technologies and Microsoft Azure into project management practices
• Apply Agile Scrum methodologies to manage the workflow and deliver projects efficiently
• Oversee Contract Management and ensure compliance with best practices
• Conduct regular audits to ensure the quality of the project management process
• Drive change management strategies to ensure smooth transitions during system upgrades
• Oversee coding practices and ensure they meet industry standards. • Proven experience in managing application development projects
• Proficiency in Cloud Technologies and Microsoft Azure
• Familiarity with Content Management System (CMS)
• Experience in Contract Management
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
• Familiarity with Agile Scrum methodologies
• Experience in auditing and implementing best practices
• Ability to manage change effectively
• Coding skills would be advantageous
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
