School Health Nurse - Early Education - NJSCHRN

• Pay: Total stipend of $122,000 annually

Qualifications:

1. Current RN licensure
2. CPR and First Aid certifications
3. Prior experience in a school or pediatric healthcare setting preferred
4. Ability to collaborate with diverse teams

Performance Responsibilities:

• Provide healthcare to Pre-K and elementary school students, including first aid, medication administration, and basic health assessments.
• Maintain comprehensive student health records, ensuring all data is accurate and up to date.
• Conduct screenings for vision, hearing, and other developmental assessments, and refer students to specialists when necessary.
• Educate staff and students on healthy habits, wellness, and preventive care.
• Work with parents and guardians to create care plans for students with specific medical needs.
• Respond to emergencies by providing immediate first aid and coordinating further care as needed.
