Responsibilities:
Sales and Business Development- Create and execute a strategic sales plan to increase commercial vehicle sales within the government and public sector market in your assigned territory.
- Identify and target key public sector clients, including municipalities, school districts, transit agencies, and mid-sized fleet operators.
- Perform comprehensive market research to understand procurement processes, compliance requirements, and competitor positioning.
- Build a strong sales pipeline through proactive outreach, qualifying government leads, and converting them into valuable long-term opportunities.
- Collaborate with the Regional Vice President of Public Sector Sales and the marketing team to craft impactful promotional strategies and targeted campaigns.
- Facilitate on-site product demonstrations, including transporting vehicles to client locations, conducting detailed walk-throughs, and showcasing real-world applications tailored to public sector needs.
- Establish trusted, long-term relationships with key public sector stakeholders, including government procurement officers, fleet managers, and industry thought leaders.
- Act as the primary point of contact for public sector clients in your region, providing responsive and knowledgeable support.
- Conduct regular meetings, workshops, and training sessions to ensure clients are fully informed, satisfied, and loyal to Model 1.
- Proactively identify opportunities to introduce new solutions, upsell innovative vehicle options, or cross-sell additional services that align with public sector requirements.
- Consistently meet or exceed ambitious sales targets, delivering exceptional results that align with quarterly and annual revenue goals.
- Utilize HubSpot CRM and other sales tools to meticulously track sales activities, client engagements, and pipeline development.
- Provide detailed and timely sales forecasts, reports, and market analysis to the sales leadership team, ensuring data-driven decision-making.
- Stay informed on emerging market trends, public procurement updates, and regulatory shifts to refine strategies and seize new growth opportunities.

Qualifications:
- Position Requirements
- Education: A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience:
- 2-5 years of demonstrated success in B2B territory sales, ideally within the commercial vehicle industry or a related sector.
- Previous experience in public sector sales or working with government clients is highly desirable.
- Skills and Knowledge:
- A strong entrepreneurial mindset with a drive to develop and grow a sales territory.
- Familiarity with or a willingness to quickly learn about commercial vehicles, market trends, and public sector regulations.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Proven abilities in negotiation and closing deals, with a focus on building and maintaining long-term relationships.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in CRM platforms, Microsoft Office Suite, and other sales tools.
- Comfort using MS Teams and Zoom for both internal and external virtual meetings.
- Travel: A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel extensively within the territory for face-to-face sales calls are required.
- Ability to sit and stand for extended periods in both office and on-site environments.
- Ability to bend, stoop, and lift up to 15 pounds.

Pay Range: $80K base plus commission
