SENIOR PRODUCT MANAGER
Beneration has helped transform the employee benefits industry with cutting-edge financial technology solutions. We digest thousands of data points from insurance carriers, invoices, and benefit administration systems to give employers and brokers much-needed clarity and risk mitigation related to their monthly insurance spend.In a nutshell, we make sure that when companies are paying for employee benefits, they are paying the correct amount, to the correct carriers, for the correct people.
As a Senior Product Manager, you will work with a talented team of professionals in identifying opportunities and developing cutting-edge software solutions for our customers and team members, managing our application, VerifiaBill and various integrated business tools.Together, we will work towards Beneration's mission of empowering HR departments and benefits brokers to spend more time focusing on people and growth and less time on tedious and repetitive processes. This role reports to our Director of Product.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Collaborate on the development of product strategies, aligning with Beneration’s business objectives and customer needs.
- Manage product roadmap, prioritizing features based on business value and customer impact.
- Work with internal teams, including engineering, design, and business stakeholders, to define and deliver product features.
- Translate user feedback and pain points into clear requirements for product development.
- Utilize Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) to lead product development cycles, from planning to delivery.
- Guide the engineering team to make informed decisions regarding architecture, scalability, and security considerations.
- Communicate effectively with senior leadership and other teams to update on product performance, challenges, and successes.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform product decisions and maintain a strong market position.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are seeking candidates who possess the following essential skills:
- Product Management: 3-5+ years in Agile product management, with the ability to help develop product strategy, understand customer needs, create and manage product roadmaps, prioritize features, and effectively lead development teams in delivering impactful releases.
- Technical Aptitude: Demonstrated technical knowledge of web app technologies and platforms.
- Data-Driven: Demonstrated proficiency in data analysis, including the ability to find and manipulate, and utilize it effectively to drive informed product decisions.
- Business Acumen: A solid understanding of business principles, including knowledge of how to increase customer and business value.
- Industry & Vertical Expertise: Some exposure to the competitive landscape, particularly within HR and benefits automation and analytics.
- Effective Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of adapting communication styles to effectively engage with various stakeholders.
- Strong belief in the business value of creating exceptional customer experiences, with a customer-centric mindset that drives decision-making.
- A customer-obsessed approach, dedicated to understanding and solving the most critical customer needs through innovative product solutions.
- Software Engineering experience, either by education or from previous work, demonstrating a strong foundation in the fundamentals of the software product development process.
- An inquisitive and creative mindset, seizing opportunities and simplifying complex problems to drive success.
- High-energy and forward-thinking, always bringing new ideas and challenging the status quo.
