Job Description
The Assistant Project Manager - Electrical/Data Centers - NoVA will be responsible for:
- Support the planning, coordination, and execution of electrical work, ensuring adherence to timelines, specifications, and quality standards.
- Manage electrical contractors and suppliers, ensuring compliance with project plans and safety regulations.
- Track electrical costs, assist in budget management, and prepare cost estimates to maintain budget integrity.
- Help develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of electrical tasks.
- Ensure all electrical work meets codes, standards, and project specifications, performing quality checks as needed.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers, resolving issues and ensuring resource availability.
- Maintain records of RFIs, change orders, submittals, and daily reports for the electrical scope.
- Visit sites to monitor electrical work, troubleshoot issues, and support on-site teams.
- Identify and resolve electrical-related challenges, providing proactive solutions.
- Update clients and stakeholders on electrical progress, addressing concerns and ensuring satisfaction.

The Successful Applicant
The Assistant Project Manager - Electrical/Data Centers - NoVA will have:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).
- Previous experience in construction project management or electrical construction projects is highly desired.
- Familiarity with electrical systems, codes, and standards (NEC, OSHA, etc.).
- Strong organizational, time-management, and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to read and understand electrical blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, or similar).
- Knowledge of construction processes, electrical systems, and safety regulations.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate effectively with other departments and contractors.
