Procurement Category Manager
We are seeking a Temporary Procurement Category Manager to lead Professional Services procurement categories globally, focusing on procurement excellence, cost reduction, and enhancing quality and service. The successful candidate will work cross-functionally, managing projects across multiple business units and global sites.
This role requires close collaboration with senior-level business partners to define priorities, establish strategic and tactical goals, and develop multi-year category roadmaps.

responsibilities:
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to lead category strategies, define pipeline items, and set short, medium, and long-term goals to support product pipeline delivery.
- Lead the supplier selection, risk assessment, and contract negotiation processes for key procurement projects.
- Implement Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) programs for strategic and critical suppliers in designated categories.
- Provide regular progress updates to direct managers, senior procurement leadership, and key internal stakeholders.
- Lead negotiations for critical supply agreements using value-based techniques.
- Monitor, track, and report savings and incremental value from sourcing activities.
- Foster innovation by leveraging the supplier base, staying updated on market developments, and mobilizing internal networks to drive new ideas and improvements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree.
- Experience in category management with multinational organizations.
- Previous strategic procurement experience in Professional Services categories such as Consulting, Financial & Audit Services, Marketing, Market Research/Market Access, and Outsourced Business Services.
- Proven experience in people, stakeholder, and project management.
- Ability to manage multiple sourcing initiatives across different business groups simultaneously.
- Solid analytical and negotiation skills.
- Experience in contracting, including Master Service Agreements (MSAs), Statements of Work (SOWs), Amendments, and Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs).
- Intermediate knowledge of procurement processes, supply markets, suppliers, and products.
- Ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural and matrix organizational structure.
- Understanding of pricing models and contract terms.
