The role:

• Origination of M&A transactions and lead execution as deal captain, playing a leadership role - training and coaching VPs and junior bankers.
• Originate M&A transactions in general, but particularly in the following sectors such as industrials, capital goods, industrial technology, manufacturing, materials, transport, logistics in DACH and Northern European regions
• Target deal size is a few hundred million to a few billion US dollars (ie. mid market)
• Ensure adherence to industry regulations and company policies.
• Manage relationships with clients, investors, and other key partners.

The Successful Applicant

London

A successful German M&A Director should have:

• Experience originating in Continental Europe, particularly the DACH and potentially Northern European regions and sectors such as industrials, capital goods, industrial technology, manufacturing, materials, transport, logistics
• Rich hands-on experience in origination and execution of M&A transactions, in depth understanding of M&A business and strong M&A technical skills and extensive experience of high quality advice to clients.
• Proven experience in leading successful M&A processes.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong negotiation skills and a strategic mindset.
• Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken.
• Strong understanding of industry regulations and corporate governance.
