AS549 - Newborn Care Specialist (October-January) - Tribeca

Overview:

A sweet family in Tribeca is seeking a live-in day newborn care specialist for their new baby, born in May. The family currently has an NCS who will finish at the end of October, and they would like to continue with newborn care through January.

The schedule for this role is generally 7 days per week, 7am-7pm. There may be an occasional overnight requested, but nights are not part of the standard schedule.

Responsibilities:

  • All aspects of infant care
  • Maintaining a sleep and feeding schedule
  • Preparing purees and baby food
  • Creating an engaging and stimulating environment
  • Keeping the baby's things tidy and organized
  • Baby laundry
  • Planning developmentally appropriate activities and outings

Qualifications:

  • Warm and nurturing
  • Willing to work as a team with another nanny and an involved mother (mom is a SAHM but is quite busy)
  • Extensive infant experience
  • Empathetic and communicative about emotions and feelings, with the ability to teach those skills
  • Confident and able to handle full-charge care when needed

Requirements:

  • Up to date on Tdap and Covid, willing to get a yearly flu shot
  • Willing to live-in and work 7am-7pm, with occasional overnights as needed

Salary and Benefits:

  • $30-35/hr.
