Position: Field Service Technician
Job Responsibilities:
As a Field Service Technician at HaF Equipment, you will play a crucial role in the Operations Department, supporting the Construction Management Group. You will perform customer-facing onsite activities related to installation supervision, equipment troubleshooting, conflict resolution, system performance audits, commissioning, resource management, and training customers on how to operate their equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Professional Conduct: Act professionally under stressful circumstances and maintain a positive relationship with customers' onsite representatives.
- Equipment Stewardship: Provide training to customers and their personnel on the proper and safe operation of our equipment.
- Installation Supervision: Supervise equipment installation at customer sites and train customers on proper operation and maintenance.
- Problem Resolution: Work with customer service engineers and project engineers to understand customer complaints and equipment issues before arriving on-site.
- Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Travel to job sites to troubleshoot issues, diagnose problems, and provide guidance on fixing or replacing equipment.
- Scheduled Maintenance: Conduct regularly scheduled, ongoing equipment maintenance visits.
- Vehicle Operation: Operate a vehicle safely for job site visits.
- Relationship Building: Build relationships and trust with customers and clients.
- Installation Management: Manage contracted installation teams to ensure scope, schedule, and budget constraints are met.
- Adherence to Procedures: Follow company procedures and safety policies.
- Company Goals: Align with and adhere to the company’s business goals and core values.
- Travel: 50% - 60%
Skills and Qualifications:
- Ability to understand installation techniques for our equipment, diagnose problems, and provide timely solutions.
- Strong time-management skills and the ability to adhere to a tight schedule.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a knack for troubleshooting technical issues.
- Ability to collaborate with others and work well in a team.
- Enthusiasm for providing excellent customer service.
- Willingness to continually learn system operation and installation techniques.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license.
- Customer service background.
- Experience performing on-site maintenance, installation, and fabrication work.
- Availability to work irregular shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
