Under the direction of the director, manager or charge nurse, the Pediatric RN utilizes the nursing process to facilitate patient care for the pediatric population in collaboration with the pediatrician. The RN will develop an individualized plan of care based on comprehensive assessment and diagnosis which meets the needs of the patient and family.
The Pediatric RN caring for this patient population will have a working knowledge of family center care and a passion for treating the whole family as one unit. The RN will be able to work independently and in collaboration with the pediatrician, ED providers, and ED staff.

This is a part time, day shift position.

Qualifications:

  • Education
  • Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program
  • Licensure/Certification/Registration
  • Florida Registered Nurse License
  • BLS
  • NRP
  • PALS
  • Special Skills/Qualifications/Additional Training/Experience Required
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years Pediatric Inpatient nursing a must
  • Must be capable of working independently on a growing pediatric unit
  • Must be flexible in assignment area between the MCH Pediatrics’, Newborn Care and the ED Pediatrics’ area
  • Must be able to triage pediatric patient population
