Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Grid Technology Information Technology Senior Project Manager with a strong background in utilities. The ideal candidate will understand the challenges of IT and engineering operational technology convergence, emphasizing the need for secure and accessible AI data.

This role is crucial for driving the integration of advanced technologies within the utility sector.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a long-term vision and strategic roadmap for project management within the grid technology domain.

Project Oversight: Provide comprehensive project management oversight and direction to ensure high-quality delivery of multiple software projects within scope, schedule, and budget.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with business clients, IT teams, and vendors to achieve operational excellence and drive project success.

Lifecycle Management: Manage all stages of the systems development life cycle, including analysis, estimation, design, evaluation, construction, testing, implementation, and post-implementation support.

Innovation Adoption: Drive the adoption of innovative project management methodologies and approaches to enhance project outcomes.
Resource Optimization: Direct project portfolio planning and optimize resources to advance key initiatives.
Agile Practices: Enhance program increment planning, dependency management, and synchronization of Agile release trains.
Knowledge Sharing: Promote collaboration between project teams to share knowledge, align architecture, and standardize processes.
Coaching and Mentoring: Provide coaching and mentoring to project managers on Agile principles, removing impediments, and evolving practices.

Performance Improvement: Drive initiatives to improve team velocity trends, defect rates, and sprint burndown metrics to mitigate risk.

Data Security: Ensure the protection of all physical, financial, and cybersecurity assets, and manage private customer data and other sensitive information with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Five or more years of experience supervising a team of direct reports and/or project management.
  • Proven experience in developing long-term vision and strategic roadmaps for IT projects.
  • Technical leadership experience in project portfolio planning and resource optimization.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ten or more years of experience in a technical, engineering, and/or business-related project management role, leading successful project implementations.
  • Seven or more years of experience supporting or leading software projects or key business initiatives.
  • Five or more years of experience with deployment readiness, IT operational readiness, organizational change management, data readiness, and distribution network modeling.
  • Experience managing system integration work to integrate commercial off-the-shelf products with enterprise applications and systems.
  • Experience managing suppliers, service contracts, project metrics, and contracts to meet project objectives.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
  • Five or more years of experience working with grid control systems (SCADA, Distribution Management System, Outage Management System) and deployment of DER capabilities.
  • Professional training and certifications in project management, including one or more of the following: Six Sigma, ITIL, PMP, Agile, and/or Scrum certification.

Wage Data Per State Requirements:

The salary range for this position is $125,000.00 - $180,000.00. The starting salary will be commensurate with skill, education, experience, and working environment.
