The ideal candidate will lay out, fit, and fabricate metal components to assemble structural forms, using knowledge of welding techniques, metallurgy, and engineering requirements. Includes experimental welders who analyze engineering drawings and specifications to plan welding operations where procedural information is unavailable.
salary: $41,600 - $62,400 per yearshift: First

Responsibilities- Clamps, holds, tack-welds, heat-bends, bolts, or grinds spare parts as necessary to
- Welds spare parts in various directions: flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead, etc.
- Controls the processes of fitting, burning, and welding to avoid problems in relation to overheating, distortion, expansion or shrink of spare parts.
- Arranges and assures the welded parts are arranged in order before being
- Prepares and sets up necessary tools and equipment for welding job such as
- Ignites flame or strikes an arc while welding or performing electricity-related work to weld part of a metal structure.
- Examines finished products and spare parts, comparing them with samples to
- Operates accessory equipment and performs tasks necessary for welding metal, such as fusing metal segments, using gas tungsten arc, metal arc, flux-cored arc, plasma arc, and other types of welding arcs.
- Supervises and identifies any fault in operating equipment or in relation to any
- Operates safely and applies safety practice at work while performing duties.
