Heart Center Quality Manager

Responsibilities:

The Heart Center Quality Manager assists in supporting the quality, safety and service initiatives and goals of the organization, department, and service lines. Continuous Quality Improvement and Change Management methodology is utilized in managing process design, data collection, analysis and reporting outcomes.

Works closely with internal and external customers including but not limited to hospital administration, department directors and managers, members of the medical staff, and other healthcare providers, as well as outside vendors. Serve as improvement team facilitators using skills and tools to drive change and assist in sustaining improvement through appropriate data collection and analysis.

  • Subject matter expert on all reporting initiatives to include appropriate reporting of eligible patients, procedures & devices, and maintains all aspects of clinical data registries.
  • Creates and maintains highly efficient, accurate, technology driven cardiac related data abstraction, collection, analysis and reporting practices to support clinical quality & process improvement.
  • Utilizes cardiovascular nursing knowledge and subject matter expertise of the registry data definitions to validate and maintain data completeness, accuracy, integrity and confidentiality.
  • Uses the database to provide ad hoc reports based on identified issues or trends for quality improvement initiatives.
  • Analyzes, interprets and trends outcomes data in relation to current national benchmarks.
  • Participates on Heart Center interdisciplinary teams, workgroups and other collaborative efforts for clinical quality improvement as related to cardiac processes and outcomes.

Qualifications:

Education Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
Experience
  • 3 - 5 years of experience
  • Senior Nurse experieince
  • 2+ years of Cardiology, Critical Care, Cardiovascular Surgery or Cath Labe experience
License/Certification
  • PA Registered Nurse License
