Product Development Lab Technologist - R&D Protein Team- First Shift
Seeking talent with experience supporting product development, ideally in food consumer packaged goods or in protein ingredient food applications. Ideally, the candidate brings product development lab support experience in one or more of the following product categories: Snack Bars, Ready to Eat cereals, Dairy Products, Baked Good Categories, Pizza/Pizza Snacks.
Experience in ingredient applications and technologies are also valued.

responsibilities:- The lab technologist supports protein technology development on the ITQ (Innovation, Technology and Quality) team across multiple product categories. Daily work will have oversight from scientists on the team. Responsibilities may include any of the following, depending on the scope of the assigned projects:
- Support product and technology development initiatives from bench top to pilot plant scale
- Prepare for experiments
- Gather/order ingredients and equipment needed
- Accurately weigh ingredients
- Network with internal experts to learn bench-top procedures, methods, testing protocols
- Execute experiments and product make-up at the bench-top and/or at pilot plant scale
- Analytical testing and sensory evaluation of ingredients and food products
- Collect and report data. Record/document observations. Share key findings in a timely manner with the team.
- Some basic data analysis may be required.
- 2-year Degree or High School Degree w/ 3+ years of directly relatable experience
- Previous work experience in a similar field (Food product development experience or laboratory experience)
- Basic computer/technology skills (Microsoft Office Suite, other computer programs)
- Basic understanding of food safety and human safety
