About Our Client

We are currently partnered up with a growing Manufacturing Company in their search to add an Assistant Controller to their Accounting department. This position will report up into the Global Controller and will oversee a team of 3 accountants.
The ideal candidate will have their CPA and/or Public Accounting Experience, Manufacturing & Inventory Experience, and Mentorship/Managerial experience. Please read on and apply if interested to the Assistant Controller - Manufacturing job based in Leominster, MA.

This will be a hybrid role (3 days on site - 2 from home).

Job Description

The Assistant Controller - Manufacturing will be responsible for the following:

Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
Manage internal and external audits, including audit preparation and follow-up on findings.
Oversee general ledger activities and reconcile accounts.
Develop and implement accounting policies and internal controls.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Collaborate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory agencies.
Support the Controller with ad hoc financial projects and process improvements.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal Assistant Controller - Manufacturing will have the following qualifications:

CPA and/or Public Accounting experience required.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
6+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and audit processes.
Experience with ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Excel.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.

The successful Assistant Controller - Manufacturing will be rewarded with the following:

Base Salary of $110,000-$140,000 depending on experience and certifications
