Accounting Manager

We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Manager in the Health Pharm/Biotech industry, based in Boston, Massachusetts. This role involves the proficient management of general ledger accounting operations, including tasks such as journal entries and accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, and lease schedules.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the general ledger accounting close, ensuring the timely and accurate processing of all transactions.
• Maintain the balance sheet with precise records, reconciling any discrepancies promptly.
• Handle journal entries and monthly accruals as part of the accounting operations.
• Manage lease schedules effectively, keeping all records updated and accurate.
• Use your experience in Biotechnology to support and improve the accounting operations.
• Demonstrate your ability to perform tasks with minimal supervision, showcasing your problem-solving skills.
• Communicate effectively with the team, contributing value and fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Show flexibility in your role, adapting to varying tasks as required.
• Utilize your proficiency with NetSuite to streamline and enhance accounting processes.
• Exhibit your ability to operate at the Accounting Manager level, contributing significantly to our operations. • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the Health Pharm/Biotech industry.
• Demonstrated expertise in biotechnology-related accounting practices.
• Proven experience with the month-end close process.
• Proficiency in using NetSuite accounting software.
• Extensive knowledge in creating and managing journal entries.
• Solid experience in balance sheet reconciliation.
• Ability to handle monthly accruals effectively and efficiently.
