Payroll Specialist
Randstad is currently hiring a Payroll Specialist for one of our trusted clients in the Malvern, PA area. This Contract opportunity would require you to be local to visit the Malvern office 2x per week. The right candidate would have expertise in large company payroll and PeopleSoft software. - Bachelor’s Degree preferred; candidates with a high school diploma and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience will be considered.
- At least 2 years of payroll experience in a large organization (experience with 20,000+ employees preferred).
- In-depth knowledge of payroll systems and concepts.
- Familiarity with U.S. and Canadian payroll regulations.
- Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in PeopleSoft payroll systems strongly preferred; Workday experience is a plus.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities
Job Summary: The Payroll Specialist ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll for over 18,000 employees across multiple U.S. and Canadian states. This role involves handling various payroll schedules, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and managing payroll-related inquiries and discrepancies.The specialist will reconcile data from third-party interfaces, provide customer support, and liaise with HR, IT, and other departments. They will also be responsible for processing special payments, maintaining compliance, and contributing to process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process payroll for multiple pay frequencies and ensure adherence to schedules and regulations.
- Manage payroll checks, garnishments, deductions, and off-cycle payments.
- Reconcile payroll data and resolve discrepancies.
- Provide customer service and support on payroll-related matters.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and provincial tax laws.
- Assist in special payments, compliance tasks, and payroll projects.
- Maintain confidentiality and stay updated on relevant regulations.
