Amazon seeks a Financial Analyst to be a key member in our Devices Finance Team. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the most innovative and fast growing businesses of Amazon in a role where you will have regular interaction with various business units across the organization.
The successful candidate will be a self-starter with strong data collection and outstanding financial analysis, a keen attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
The role also requires regular interaction with various business teams and includes supporting Hardware devices business teams. The role provides reporting and business support for decision making and ability to influence decisions through effective logical reasoning and the presentation of alternatives/scenarios.
This role is based in Sunnyvale, CA.
Key job responsibilities
Presenting financial summaries and business insights to senior managementDeveloping scalable and efficient financial processes that support the business
Deriving meaningful insights and recommendations from large data sets
Tracking initiatives that span multiple business functions
Leading ad hoc financial analyses and supporting the financial planning process
Coordinating and supporting planning and month-end close processes
Key job responsibilitiesProvide short and long-term financial planning & analysis for team's device development expenses
Create and implement monthly financial reporting processes including insightful variance analysis
Develop scalable processes to drive the overall business goals by closely managing business financials
Manage and develop scalable financial tools and reports that align and simplify monthly business reviews, annual planning and forecasting exercises
Build financial models, perform project based analyses, and present findings to management
Lead various automation projects across teams to improve the process efficiencies- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 3+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience- 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- Knowledge of Tableau
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.Amazon is a total compensation company.
